Now I know I am by far not the first person to point this out, but what is kind of staggering, is that the developers of this plugin are still ignoring it. The issue is, that the plugin has its own GTIN field which must be filled in, because it won’t see the GTIN field in Woocommerce. How can this be? How is such a ridiculous oversight made in the first place and then persistently ignored, despite the screams of despair from so many users?

In our instance, we have a website with 10’s of thousands of products, which has been around for a long, long time. We only started using this plugin a year or so ago and like many other users, we were pretty much forced to do so, due to the insurmountable number of pathetic rules and configuration nightmares presented by Google Merchant Centre. Right now, we have 2300 products left, which Merchant Center claims have no GTIN’s? This is of course utter nonsense, because the GTIN’s are in the Woocommerce Inventory tab and always have been.

At what point will the developers fix this insanity and allow the plugin to read the GTIN from the Woocommerce Inventory field? It clearly didn’t happen in yesterdays update, so when can we expect someone to address this? If I was the paranoid type, one might think Woocommerce are doing this, just to irritate their users or they are working on yet another $99 per year version which fixes this. Now that wouldn’t surprise me!

    Thank you.
