It doesn’t work
-
1. Facebook – error. Not that anyone would be using facebook nowadays, but still…
2. Twitter – error {“errors”:[{“code”:32,”message”:”Could not authenticate you.”}]}
3. Linked-in – error
4. Reddit – ban after first automated post.
5. VK.com – doesn’t work
6. Odnoklassniki – yes, it works in semi-manual mode
7. Plurk – works, possibly.Out of 7 free “options” only two work.
The idea of consolidating automated posting software for a number of “social” networks ia good idea but the execution is not.Now, as this was not bad enough, the plugin comes with petty restrictions. Like it artificially limits the length of your url to 50 characters. Many languages have words longer than 40 Latin characters. Take Telekommunikationskundenschutzverordnung for one. Pettymindedness can be tolerated (hardly) if the product on offer is excellent. Now why would you pay for extra social networks if the free ones don’t work (I am sure the paid ones don’t work either).
The worst part is that because “social” websites are themesleves nutty, Facebook and Twitter are the biggest offenders, and bend, twist and change own rules all the time, it is possible that this sort of software will never work satisfactorily. That’s a shame because I’ve wasted a ton of time on it.
