It gives an error when I submit the form

  • I’m trying to send the form, but when I hit send I get an error: “An error occurred while trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
    This has always been working for me, only when updating to the latest version did I get an error.
    I also have Wordfence, although it has never given me problems with Contact Form 7

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    I’m experiencing the same issue on a client’s site. I updated the plugin to version 5.9.3 today (and updated WP to 6.5), and now the form is not working. It also didn’t send the message in Troubleshooting mode with all other plugins turned off. Please help!

    Also, please note that the contact form ID had changed with the update (perhaps this has happened to you as well, @evotic, and you need to update it?). Unfortunately, updating the shortcode to use the new ID did not fix our problem.
