    Unfortunately I’am not able to give no star here !
    Since Version 2.x NGG is simple not usable anymore …

    So finally I switched over to another Gallery Plugin and now my blog is also much faster and usable than before.

    I cannot recommend this gallery anymore !

  • Thanks, Alex, for taking the time to leave some remarks. What exactly wasn’t working for you? While the initial update to 2.0.0 was admittedly bumpy, that was 8 months and 60+ versions ago.

    In more recent updates, we usually have 70,000 people updating NextGEN just the first week after each recent release, a couple hundred thousand within a month, and we know it’s working well for the overwhelming majority, and that those who do have issues have issues that are relatively minor, or affecting certain specific features.

    There are some lingering performance issues in certain server environments, which we’re addressing in one of our next releases. Is that what you’re referring to?

    Otherwise I’m just wondering if you can clarify what wasn’t usable so we can take a look. Thanks!

    @1998_cc2 – Just wanted to follow up again.

    I just checked your forum threads. Looks like the issues you were having were related to the Other Options page not saving correctly. Looking at your thread here:

    This has generally happened when someone has migrated site domains or otherwise changed lightbox URLs. We’ve introduced a fix in .63 for that situation, so you may want to check this and confirm if it’s fixed.

    @1988_CC2 – Just following up on some old reviews.

    As you know, your review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0. At this point, most of the issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed. Issues like the one you mentioned were addressed a long, long time ago.

    I’m not sure if you’ve had a chance to use NextGEN since your review, but given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?
