Try activating the default theme and see if that helps.

It’s on now. I tried switching themes to no avail.

IT won’t let me install new ones either.

Try re-uploading everything except the wp-config.php file and the wp-content folder.

Try:

– renaming your current them folder by FTP. That should force the default theme to activate.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

nope. nothing.

I also tried showing hidden folders and files and can’t see an .htaccess file like I’ve heard on many other forums to check for.

Any custom permalinks set?

When you tried re-uploading files and folders, did you re-upload all the files in the root wp folder? If ‘yes’, could you try re-uploading the lot again using a fresh copy of WP?
