• It looks like your site is password-protected, which may interfere with Media Deduper’s ability to index your media and content. Check our documentation for more info and suggested troubleshooting. Check again

Why does the plugin show this message and not index anything after I click to index?

Looks like 0 of 163 media items have been indexed. Please index all media now.

When I click “Check again” it says:

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

I don’t know what it means that the site is password-protected, but it does certainly look like this plugin destroyed my site’s admin area. Nothing displays at all. Can’t even deactivate this plugin. Had to delete it and only then got the admin to load again. Sounds like 1* ratings had some merit.

Suggest you try Troubleshooting Mode in the plugins, and see what conflict might exist between this and other plugins? It’s a great non-destructive way to check things. It took me a long time to realize how great Troubleshooting Mode is!

With this Deduper plugin, I always make sure I have a backup (or two) before I use it, and usually I deactivate it as soon as I am happy with the cleanout.

Deleting it from the file system worked fine.
Really looking forward to hear back from the devs on both issues.
