also, i notice the duplication does not copy the new item properties that the template can afford (i use AVADA template and the options i set in the source item were not duplicated in the new item…,)

Regarding the position of the duplicates, the same could be argued for the other way round. If I make the duplicates fall under the same parent some people are going to complain it’s buried somewhere in their large menu and would rather have it at the bottom.

I’ll look into maybe adding an option page where that behaviour can be toggled.

Regarding the “copy-of” bit, I don’t think it’s a good solution. It would mean you would have to edit all the menu items to remove said “copy-of”. I’ll play around with potentially highlighting the duplicated items in some way, probably a change of border color or similar.

Avada is a paid third party theme. I don’t have access to it so I can’t support it. Even if I had access to it I can’t promise I could make it work as it’s dependent on how Avada developers implemented their custom options on menu items.

en fait pour le 1er point, je voulais dire que lorsqu’on copie un item “fils”, alors le nouveau item devrait être aussi un fils et se retrouver en dessous du fils copié.
Actuellement quand on copie un item fils, le nouveau item est “dés-hiérarchisé” et se retrouve sans “père” en queue d’items (donc en bas). Du coup, on doit passer du temps à le replacer en dessous du fils dans la même “fratrie”.

Pour le “copie-of”, il a son utilité justement quand le nouveau item est positionné dans la même hierachie que la source. c’est le comportement naturel de bcp de système quand on a une fonction “copie”. exemple dans l’OS windows : un copier-coller d’un fichier ajoute automatiquement le terme “copie de” au nouveau fichier (et se dernier se retrouve d’ailleur dans la même fratrie du dossier” que la source.
