• I installed the rotator with the name “testimonials” as a widget.

My testimonials page was also called /testimonials/.

I noticed that, sometimes, when I was clicking on the menu for the page /testimonials/, the list form of the rotator was appearing (my testimonials are pretty long).

I then changed the name of the rotator to “testimonials clips” and it didn’t get confused anymore.

Tonight, though, I completely lost access to my /testimonials/ page, it would only show the short clips that I had included in the rotator.

I deactivated the plugin, even deleted it, and now my /testimonials/ page redirects to the home page. I had to create a /success/ page for the testimonials accessible through the main menu, but the old /testimonials/ URL redirects to the homepage, making all the links I have throughout the website to be broken.

    Very upsetting.

This is very strange. I would suggest after you remove the plugin or rename things a good idea would be to click on ‘Settings’ -> ‘Permalinks’ and just resave that page.

You can also change the testimonial archive permalink by using this filter:

    Hope this helps,

    Hi, Hal
    Thanks for your response.
Where would I use that filter. It’s a piece of code to add where?
    Thanks again,
    Llyane

You add it in your functions.php file found in your theme. Just post it in there probably at the bottom to be safe it doesn’t break anything else in there.
