• I installed the plugin several days ago for a test. And I logged in just now and found a HUGE AD on the admin. SO SUCKS. I uninstalled it and never use the plugins published by the Suck authors of the team.

  • Hi @lepress

I can understand the frustration, but whether or not you mind notices on a free WP plugin that we continuously update AND provide full-time support for, there’s no need to use foul language on this review board.

It’s reasonable to have some Ads on a free WP plugin. And I can FULLY undetstand it. But NOT ALL the free WP plugins push their ads SO AGGRESSIVEly AS yours. I tested serveral plugins about slider. ONLY your AGGRESSIVE ads irritated me. And I would like to share you a Secret AS A FAVOR that they also CONTINUOUSLY UPDATE with FULL-TIME SUPPORT. It is RATHER NECESSARY to rate 1 star to notice potential users no need to WASTE time to test your plugin. If you thought you suffered injustice, you can just QUIT and SAVE your free plugins. Then I can SAVE my time wasted on testing such a plugin with AGGRESSIVE ADS.

    Hi @lepress

Our notice system is designed to be dismissible with a single click and to not reappear again until 12 weeks later. That’s not aggressive.

Were you unable to dismiss the notice?

If the ad is dismissed and remains dismissed then that’s fine.

@kbat82 Serious question and please don’t dodge it. Does the ad remain dismissed forever if you do that or does it come back?

We’ve investigated this further internally – if dismissed the ‘thank you for installing’ notice will not display for a year.

In our view it’s reasonable in return for the work for a free plugin to be shown an annual notice. We realize that some users will not agree; in the case that an annual notice is felt to be intolerable yes, it is better to not use MetaSlider.

If you are seeing a notice on the dashboard more often than that, then it is a bug, and you should let us know.
