It turned into a horror

It has literally become the slowest editor on the market. Not for a serious project anymore.

I somewhat agree with you, but probably only for lack of candidates to compare Elementor to that I, personally, have tried. I think the Divi ?visual? builder still beats everything in that regard, though. Annoying with Elementor are the many security issues, forcing one to constantly update client’s sites. For free, of course, because the client sees no value added by the update.
Is that why you obviously have given up development of your fine Steroids Plugin?
All the best to you,
OlafIf you take a look at the Elementor’s dev contributions https://github.com/elementor/elementor/graphs/contributors you can be sure that nothing is actually going on. This plugin is dying. The sooner you get away from it, the lesser the chances to screw up your customers. 90% of my customers migrated to Bricks Builder and they are way happier than before. Who am I supposed to develop Steroids for?
All the best Olaf, I’m sorry if I have disappointed you!Thank you, Oooh Boi, I understand your reasoning and take your expert advice to ponder upon. I am not disappointed in your leaving Elementor behind, you seem to know exactly what you are doing. I have heard of fresher tools like Webflow, Bricks and Breakdance. Thing for me is that I am more of a designer than a developer, so all these (costly) changes under the hood (and the learning curve!) are difficult to communicate to clients. ?Why have you recommended Elementor in the first place?? ?I thought everyone uses WordPress?? being only some of the questions). I’ll look at Full Site Editing at the moment, hoping this technique to last longer than DoomDivi and EnervatingElementor ??
Best regards,
OlafHey @ooohboi we’ve been trying to reach you for months but you haven’t replied to any of our messages. You’re right about slow performance… only if addon-developers don;t update their code. For building websites we’ve made incredible strides (seriously, speedtest the version that released today). Back to your plugin though, we discovered a lot of depreciated code use that may lead to incompatibility and reduced performance. I’m not complaining though, in fact we really want to help you fix that!
If you’re still interested, please contact me or Rebecca directly by replying to our messages or sending an email to verdi AT elementor dot com or rebeccam AT.
We would love to speak to you in a short call and show you our progress. You’ve made a great difference to many Elementor users in the past and if possible I’d like to thank you in person for that (I’m a user of your plugin myself).
Hope to speak to you soon!

For months?! Sorry to hear that, and I’m sorry to communicate this way. Hi, Verdi, long time no hear ??
I still have you on my Slack’s direct message list, my mailbox is heavily filtered for spam and most likely all those messages ended up in junk.
Anyhow, I’m no longer interested for updates or development of Steroids. I was literally forced to migrate to a different page builder and I have invested a lot of time on that.
I’m glad to read you use my plugin tho!
Best regards and good luck!@ooohboi Thanks for replying, please send me a message on Slack so I now where to find you. At the very least I’d love to show you we’re far from that slow beast you describe. You meant a lot to Elementor Community Memebrs in the past and I’d like a chance to set the record straight.
@ooohboi Hi Damir, I tried both Email and Slack to contact you but sadly can’t reach you anywhere else than here. We’ll be happy to make all the code changes for you, you would only have to approve them and submit the updates version. If that too is not an option, would you be willing to part with your plugin as you stated: “I’m no longer interested for updates or development of Steroids.”?
@ooohboi One last try, please reach out to me as I cannot reach you using 4 different channels.
@ooohboi We tried. If ever you change your mind, please reach out to me.
Hey Damir / @ooohboi
We have identified additional outdated code in your plugin (Schemes, calls to Swiper 5 & waypoints.js) that will be removed in the next version of Elementor, thereby causing issues for our shared users. We would like to offer to make these fixes by submitting PRs. Could you please grant us access to your Github repo (currently private) so we can submit the necessary PRs? Please email rebeccam AT elementor DOT com. We’re committed to ensuring our shared users are not affected and are happy to handle the updates now and going forward.
I will cross-post this on you repo hoping you’ll read it.Cheers, Verdi.
