it WORKED!!!

  • I moved my website from GoDaddy’s WordPress Hosting to my Synology NAS using this plug in and the unlimited import extension.

    – My Site was hosted on GoDaddy with one domain name
    – it was 18Gig is total size
    – the auto download of the backup failed but tech support told me where to find the file on GoDaddy / FTP side, and I sFTP it off of the GoDaddy site
    – built a generic WordPress Site on the Synology NAS (not the WordPress plugin, added MariaDB 10, PHP7, phpAdmin, Webstation, and the latest WordPress from www.ads-software.com)
    – added the plugin
    – loaded the backup file

    All links are working to the new HOST NAME, and all data seems to be intact!!!

    18G of photos and posts are saved to my NAS!!!

    Will use this now as a periodic back up of the NAS Website.
