I built a client site on an amazon server and needed to move it to their host. Knowing their host was slow I expected issues. The first attempt timed out at 94%. I didn’t try the backup migration described for slow servers, I waited awhile and tried again and got to 97% before stopping. Tried one more time when I thought traffic would be less and got to 100%. The site worked perfect! Flawless with no errors. I am 100% sure if I was moving to a quality host it would have worked the first time because this same host gave me issues in the past with other clients. This is now my go to plugin to migrate WP sites. I wish I had tried this months ago. The site was photo heavy, over 975 images but came in under 400mb so I use the free version.
Update. I tried on another somewhat large site also with lots of image files. Went from Site Ground to Amazon/Bitnami to re-design and the process was flawless. Finished within 90 seconds. I also love the simple backup this plugin offers. Save to your HD and a copy to your backup. Just takes a few seconds.
