    I originally liked the plugin, but now It’s spamming my email a couple times a day, saying “Autoptimize’s cache size is getting big, consider purging the cache”. There is no way to contact the developers so if they do not fix this or add an option to opt out of this, I will be deleting the plugin.

    Well, you could also have created a support thread for that ??

    But to fix;
    * ideally (for many reasons) you (re-)configure AO to ensure the cache does not grow that fast, the AO FAQ has more info on how to do so.
    * alternatively you can disable the email notifications being sent with this code snippet;

    add_filter( 'autoptimize_filter_cachecheck_sendmail', '__return_false' );
