• Thanks Liang for this feature, it works very well.
It contributes to make the exercices of my French language education site look nicer, I really appreciate this.

(www.hetfranseatelier.nl , flash cards at the end of the page)

Allow me please to tell what helped me to make it work. ??
It was important for me to discover that:
    1) You cannot make or upload .txt files from an ipad (apps4ipad is mentioned in the example in the instructions: [flashcard source=”https://www.myapps4ipad.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/thai.txt”%5D) I understand now why, but … it took me a bunch of time to abandon the idea … ?? (please correct me if I am wrong)

What worked is to create the .txt file in a windows XP environment with the standard Notepad (no need of editplus) and to upload it from my computer through the media library of my word press site.

    2) Though …Making and uploading the .txt file worked, but the flashcards not … until I had created the .txt file and then ‘saved as’ with the options
1).txt and 2) encoding not ASCII but UTF-8

    Hi Jandrale:
myapps4ipad.com is just my domain name. I do iOS app development so I have the myApps4iPad.com domain name, but I didn’t intend to hint people to upload a text file they created from an iPad. Personally I wouldn’t work with any text file on an iPad, but it could be just me.
And yes, the UTF-8 encoding is important for the multibyte characters.
Thank you for trying the Flashcard plugin and sharing your experience! =)
