I am having the weirdest behaviour with this theme in the visual text editor for all posts and pages: when turning any text into italics it shows up white and I can no longer read it.

This only happens if the text uses default formatting (paragraph, default font family and size etc.).

The plain text editor shows basic tags around the text, nothing else.

Also this only happens in Chrome, not IE or FF. Obviously some freaky Javascript bug to do with the editor and Chrome, but if I switch theme the bug is fixed.

Can you think of anything that might be causing this behaviour?

No big deal, I can tell client to post in IE but I thought I’d flag this up.

Can you link to a Webpage with the issue?

The issue is not in the frontend but in the admin’s text editor so I can’t give a direct link, though I’m happy to provide an admin login if someone from Colorlib wants to investigate.

In the frontend the text looks normal, it just turns white in the visual editor.

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if any are causing that?

Yes, tried disabling all plugins in case it was a conflict, no change…

Hmm, just installed the theme on a test site and don’t have that problem.

Is everything on that site current?

That must be something to do with plugins or your web browser and its extensions. Theme does not use custom editor styles and it depends on WordPress default ones. Also this theme doesn’t make any changes to WYSIWYG.

What modification to theme you have done yourself as something doesn’t sound right at all. Maybe try to install a separate untouched version of this theme (use a different folder name and name in style.css ) and see if it works by default.

Well, what can I say? Today I log onto the admin and the problem has completely gone. I have no idea what happened and feel foolish for having wasted people’s time… I can only guess that it was a strange Chrome glitch, maybe a cache problem brought on by installing various plugins.
    Glad it’s gone anyway.
