Just updated to the new version that doesn’t allow guest users to checkout – which I’d like to be able to turn off anyway, as we have old users on the site but no login capability currently.

In any case, now logged in users can’t add products at all. It’s forwarding to an empty cart.

Never mind – clearing browser cache fixed this.

However, I would like the option for registered users to still be able to checkout as a guest.

Hello @henrybaum, do you have Require Login enabled (Downloads > Settings > Misc > Checkout)?

If you don’t, registered users should be able to checkout with out logging in.

I don’t have it enabled, but this from the changelog (2.9.4, July 9, 2018) suggests otherwise: “Fix: Important – Don’t allow guest purchases for an email address that has an existing user.”

    Hey @henrybaum, sorry, I misspoke.

What I said applies to previous customers, but if anyone making a purchase has a WP account, they have to be logged in or use another email address.
