    When installing the latest free version, it is very unfortunate to realize that many things and rights have disappeared.

    In particular the copyright in the footer… Without warning, it disappears after the update, replaced by the Neve signature. And impossible to put one back via the panel, you have to upgrade to the Pro version…

    Improve the existing and make it pro options but limiting what was possible before is a marketing mistake. It’s not very strategic to give away and then take it back ; and limit the product a bit more with each update.

    Personally, I made my choice: goodbye Neve. It was nice to work with but because of this kind of surprises, I won’t take the risk to install this theme anymore.

  • How do we get the 3.2 version? Or does someone have a theme similar YET better than ?

    Hi @izreview @jill22marie,

    You can get the previous version of the theme by rolling it back as in this guide – https://docs.themeisle.com/article/744-how-to-rollback-your-theme-and-plugin#previous-theme.

    Thank you @stefancotitosu

    You’ve helped me tremendously!!

    Thank you, @stefancotitosu, Worked fine.

    Is there any way to hide Update Available red notification bubbles ?

    Thank you again.

    Hey @izreview

    You can use a plugin specifically designed to hide update notifications. Some popular plugins for this purpose include “Disable Updates Manager” and “WP Hide Dashboard Notices”. These plugins give you the option to turn off the update notifications for plugins, themes, and WordPress core updates.

    Please note that hiding update notifications is not recommended as it can compromise the security and stability of your WordPress site. It’s important to keep your WordPress installation, plugins, and themes up-to-date for optimal performance and security.

    Hi @izreview,

    If it helps, add these two lines to your functions.php file.
    The first one prevents theme updates, and the second one prevents update notifications.
    This only affects the theme, not the plugins. ??

    It worked very well for me, until I changed this damn theme… A theme that doesn’t evolve (at least at the same time as the WordPress updates) is indeed not healthy.

    add_filter( 'auto_update_theme', '__return_false' );
    add_filter( 'pre_site_transient_update_themes', 'remove_core_updates' );

    HI; for those interested here is a detailed guide on how to change the copyright in Neve theme

    Problem solved

    Hi everyone. Hi Lucia, please could you at least let us choose for your text “powered by Neve” the align position and font size to be chosen from normal or smaller, to be reduced just a little because font size it is quite big for a footer text. And all my footer is center aligned, and your text is left aligned and I can’t even just change that. And font size is much bigger than the rest of the copyright.

    I understand your wish to add “powered by Neve”. But this change is quite unwelcomed especially because not aesthetic at all, for this added text is not at all customisable, to at least allow us to blend it better on our sites.

    And also for lack of advanced warning.

    Best regards.

    Hi @esteryn,

    We understand your point of view and we’re sorry about the frustration caused by this change! However, changing the style and position of the copyright, as well as completely removing it, is available only in the Pro version of the theme.

    Thank you for understanding and have a nice day ahead!

    Hi there, every time I tried to roll back I got this message:

    Rolling back Neve to v3.6.6

    Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/theme/neve.3.6.6.zip…

    Unpacking the update…

    Installing the latest version…

    Could not move the old version to the upgrade-temp-backup directory.

    Theme update failed.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Ok, so I reinstalled neve.3.3.6.zip and that actually overwritten the 3.3.7 but it still shows the Powered by.
