It’s Asana for WordPress – but better!
-
I have started using Zephyr just recently, but I have used Asana for years. So naturally I’ve been comparing those two.
It’s hard to believe, but Zephyr is the winner.
Both projects are designed around on the same philosophy: keep it as simple, fast and reliable as possible. Unfortunately Asana has been adding new features right and left, which make things more and more crowded and complicated. Zephyr keeps it all simple, clear and well designed.
And yes, Zephyr is much faster than Asana.
Everything works pretty much the same. There are projects with tasks, members, managers, dates, status. You can add comments, files and all of it is super fast. You can even set recurrence for tasks – a rare feature among project managers, very useful indeed.
To my surprize I discovered in Zephyr some really useful, clever features that Asana does not have. Did I mention how much faster it work?
Asana has been a great tool for years, very popular and for a good reason. But being a much bigger enterprise then just one programmer, it’s hard to believe that Dylan’s Zephyr beats Asana in so many ways and does so many things better. And there is obvious advantage of course: you can add as many users and projects as you want, even in the free version.
Being a programmer myself I regret it wasn’t me who has an idea to create it. I would be deeply proud to be author of such excellent project.
Zephyr deserves to be much more popular than it is. Not only it beats every other project manger for WordPress, but it can easily compete against most of the popular cloud based project managers out there. It’s an Asana killer. I’ll happily switch from Asana to Zephyr. I will gladly buy Pro version as soon as I can.
If you need fast, powerful project management system, there it is. Try it, use it, spread the word.
