It's been a long time coming.

I have been saying for over 5 years now, that if WP continued along it’s previous development lines it would die. There was no way to stay competitive and retain the legacy code that was ~WP 2.

I knew, and said many times, that for WP to grow, and become modern, there would have to be a line in the sand, where the dev team would say, “No More!”, and implement the changes needed to bring the platform into the new era. That line has been drawn, and it’s name is REST API.

I’m really excited about these changes, and will no longer quit any dev projects that “request” WP integration.
