Its good but there is a long road head

A lot of people have covered the cost and range of features. These are true and great, but if you have used any other plugin, there are a few drawbacks.
1. You MUST use their Content AI system to get 100% on their scoring system. Yes, you can disable it, and yes, you do not have to use it, BUT if I don’t, it will always be a potential of 95/100. Even just clicking on the button without doing anything gets you the 5 points. We had an assistant proofread our content, and she said she activated it to get the additional points for Content AI because it made it easier to hit her KPIs and not even apply the suggestions. If you are not going to use their own system and disable it, then you should not have it part of the rank math algorithm considering we already use other AI checkers for this.
The same logic applies to their “Table of Contents plugin”. It doesn’t check if you are using it for the post, only that the plugin is there. If you are going to have a metric, then have some checking tool that it is being used. You can link to the plugin and check for shortcodes, settings, etc.
2. Their Content AI has expiring credits, so if you don’t use them in a year, then they are gone. I did ask about making them last longer, but they said no. Also, renewing your RankMark subscription does not give you credits. In short, Rank Math is technically cheaper, BUT they want you to buy their add-ons; otherwise, your page will never reach 100%. At least Yoast said you couldn’t use this feature, and that’s none of this penalisation unless we spend more money.
3. It feels a little rough around the edges at times. We use Rank Math on a few sites, and there are issues with the RankMath SEO widget on the post pages. Sometimes it updates live; other times, you need to save and refresh. So your results are never truly live.Wishlist
Other SEO plugins highlight the problem by highlighting the text area. The best example is if a sentence or paragraph is too long, other plugins show you, but this one does not. Please add this useful and longstanding feature from other plugins. There is a dedicated 301 Redirect and 404 error log. They are helpful, but many of Rank Math Competitors plugins tell you where people are clicking these dead links. It would be beneficial (internal or external links) to know and understand why to try and resolve them.
Many of these quality-of-life features are missing, and I would like to see them integrated.
In short, I like Rank Math, BUT there is a long road ahead, and hopefully, the gap will be closed over time.
