• Hi,
So I have been testing PhastPress on my site. The results are great, but only when it works.
For a split second, it works great. But then when I test it again after some time, the results go way down.
    Here are some screenshots:
    Immediately after PhastPress is activated:
    Mobile: https://prnt.sc/wz00e0
    Desktop: https://prnt.sc/wz00on

    After some time:
    Mobile: https://prnt.sc/wz00za
    Desktop: https://prnt.sc/wz0ani

How do I make it to work?
I am on Dreampress (Managed wordpress hosting) with server caching (with xvarnish header)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sarangsss29,

This sounds like a caching issue (an unoptimized version of the page is being served sometimes).

Currently, PhastPress is disabled. I’m not able to test in order to reproduce the issue until you enable the plugin.

@kiboit I have re-enabled the plugin. Can you please take a look?

    Hi @sarangsss29,

Could you disable the loading of scripts and stylesheets from wp.com (via Jetpack)? This causes many unnecessary requests because PhastPress isn’t able to optimize scripts and stylesheets on external domains.

    Hi, @kiboit
Disabled Jetpack site accelerator which should remove most of the wp.com related queries.
However, the results are still the same.
I asked the hosting and they told me to ask if the plugin is friendly with server-side caching, or if they use PHP Sessions.

    Hi @sarangsss29,

The plugin should work fine with server-side caching, and does not use PHP sessions. It seems to me that the plugin is functioning as intended.

I think you’re getting inconsistent results because of ads. After testing a few times, I sometimes get very high scores on desktop, sometimes not. It’s not always better on the first test.

As you can see here, ads cause a lot of additional requests:

These add to your total blocking time and time to interactive, reducing your score:

    First test, with ads requests:

    Second test, no ads requests:

You could delay the load of adsbygoogle.js in order to speed up page load. But that will delay showing ads…
