Its impossible to map a domain for the main site?

I’m trying to setup a mirror for my main domain, like mirror.mysite.com.
I might add domain mapping for the other blogs but does not save the options for the main site.How can this be done? If not, is there any plugin that could allow me to use a subdomain as mirror (Is for use as CDN for my site, just for google pagespeed)?
