It’s not fully compatible with Woocommerce.

  • On the Breeze FAQ section:

    “Breeze is fully compatible with WooCommerce, out of the box. It does not require any special configurations.”

    This is blatantly not true, and it’s not true because you can’t exclude cookies from being cached. In my own woocommerce site I have 2 woocommerce cookies being used:

    1. woocommerce_cart_hash
    2. woocommerce_items_in_cart

    You know what happens when you can’t exclude these cookies? A glitch occurs and clients see the previous quantity in their cart before updating to the real quantity, this is not that much of a problem, except of course, as we know, small problems can snowball into big problems. And that’s what happened when I added a discounts plugin to start implementing discounts on our products more easily.

    What happened was that products outright dissapeared from a costumers cart.

    Getting in touch via direct ticket with Cloudways still hasn’t wielded a concrete clear answer to this problem but it seems clear that this plugin is not compatible with woocommerce until they add an option to exclude cookies.

    As I reviewed your ticket.

    Basically, Breeze options are not enabled due to which optimization is not done properly.
    I have enabled Breeze options and captured the video. the mentioned issue is not replicated.

    In our internal conversation with support they have identified the problem and will release an update soon to fix it.

    I just put the video link to inform you that it’s not related to the point you have mentioned that the Breeze cache cookie. It’s related to optimization and provides the solution in it.
    To demonstrate it more clearly attached is the video link.
    Sure will remove the video but at a certain time, you may edit the post now and remove the video from the mentioned link.

    Pedro here, I’m the developer at the company.

    Latest update 2.0.8 appears to commit a fix:
    “Fix: Remove duplication header calls in Varnish requests.”
    We are in the process of testing it in staging and production.
