I was blocked out the back office due to a 404 error on all pages of the site and the connexion page too.

I have deactivated ithemes in FTP to access to the site thanks to the wp-admin page.

I want just to understand this error to avoid a new problem.

    In advance, thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Could you please paste here your Site Health Info (please see https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8u2ZeYn) by going to Tools > Site Health > Info and clicking “Copy site info to clipboard”?

You can paste this in https://pastebin.com/ and share the link here.

Can you please try regenerating the .htaccess file? No changes will need to be made.

Can you also please go to Security> Settings>Configure > Global Settings and verify that ‘Write to Files’ is enabled?

Please let me know if this helps.

    Best regards,
    Shalom

    Hi,

I resaved the permalinks, which regenerated the htacess and fixed the problem. But I don’t understand what happened at the beginning.

The setting “Write to files” is enabled.

Here the link of site health : https://pastebin.com/pURydyZh.

    I’ve just hide path folders.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,
I’m happy to hear the issues were resolved.

The issue seems to be a corrupted .htaccess file.

I will mark this post as resolved. If you still need some assistance, please feel free to open a new support topic, and we would be happy to assist.
    Thank you!

Thank you for your answer and your quick support.

Do you have any idea why the htaccess was corrupted ?

    Happy to help!

.htaccess file can get corrupted while:

    • A plugin is being installed.
    • If the file has not been configured properly.
    • If an internet connection drops out while things are being written to your server.

    Thank you very much !!!

Just one more question, not link to the plugin, how I can delete the pastebin ? I’ve created as a guest and apparently it’s not possible to delete it.

It seems it has been removed when it expired or by the Pastebin staff.
