iTunes Podcast Audio Player

  • I have an iTunes podcast which uses an xml file to list each audio file. I’d like to create a permanent page in wordpress which lets a visitor play the same audio that’s in the iTunes xml, so I only have to update one file. Is there some plugin, script, etc. that will let a wordpress page read the xml file to feed player links?

  • no – i don’t think so.

    but there are podcasting plugins that will let you do the reverse. that is, write a post with an audio file which then appears in rss/xml feed that becomes your itunes podcast feed.

    you can edit your old feed to redirect to the new feed, or apache redirect from the old to the new.
