I think your web hosting has issues, i just loaded the site and get this error: Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

I would contact your web host.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

That’s odd. I’ve checked on multiple browsers on my phone, tablet and computer and I’m notgetting that error message.

What I just noticed is if I put in https://.JamesMillerLifeology.com/feed/podcast/ it says it can’t read the feed.

When I update the feed to https://www.JamesMillerLifeology.com/feed/podcast I get the error: Error parsing feed: Invalid XML: Error on line -1: Premature end of file.

Let’s say my hosting company is up and running, why would I get this error? And not be able to validate my feed in itunes.

    Thanks for your help.

I tried loading your podcast feed here:
    https://www.jamesmillerlifeology.com/feed/podcast/

In Google Chrome and also received the “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” message. This looks like the message WordPress displays when a plugin update has gone bad, and the site isn’t taken out out of maintenance mode after the update is complete. Regardless of the cause, this is most likely the reason the Apple Podcasts directory isn’t updating your feed. If you’re not seeing the same message when you try to load the feed URL, clear your browser cache and try again.

Hello. I cleared my cache on my chrome. I’m not getting the error you are. What do I need to do to make sure the plugin update has not gone bad and to take the site out of maintenance mode after the update is complete?

This method works for taking a WordPress site out of maintenance mode:

Angelo also sent me a note and said it looks like your site is using Cloudflare. If this is true, there are some known issues in using Cloudflare with podcasting sites. You may want to find an alternative.

I looked for the .maintence file as well as called my hosting company and there is no file named that. If my site is not in maintenance mode what else could it be?

Keep in mind that the maintenance file is hidden by default. When you look for it on an FTP client, you have to tell the client to show hidden files.

I asked a couple other members of the Blubrry team to load your feed URL, and they got the same message I did about the site being in maintenance. We’re all spread out across North America, so this isn’t an isolated response.

Overall, the site being stuck in maintenance mode is a core WordPress issue, not a PowerPress issue. If you continue to have trouble with it being stuck in maintenance, you should post in one of the general WordPress forums for further assistance.

Also, as I mentioned above, your site appears to be using CLoudflare and there may be a caching issue with Cloudflare causing the maintenance message to be displayed. You’d want to check with Cloudflare support on that.
