iTunes suddenly showing PowerPress artwork instead of mine

steveportigal, are you familiar with how to install plugins manually? If so, can you downgrade to PowerPress 6.3.2 and see if the problem fixes itself? If so, that would let me know there is a bug with the latest version.

As usual with iTunes, it’s not clear how long to wait, but I’ll keep an eye on it throughout the day and see if things change.

FWIW, the feed itself – https://www.portigal.com/podcast/feed/podcast – shows the right artwork.

This is definitely a bug, I am looking into it…

steveportigal, I see your website has a folder called ‘podcast’, is this a category or a custom post type? e.g. https://www.portigal.com/podcast/

I have another version of PowerPress that may fix this issue, assuming that is a post type or category.

Yes, it is a custom post type.

Thanks, Angelo. I installed the development version and have given it about 12 hours but the iTunes store still shows the default artwork, not mine.

If you view the source of the feed, there is a comment line which indicates which version of PowerPress you are using, it should read 6.4 beta.

It takes iTunes a few hours to show new episodes, so I’ve given it 24 hours but it’s still showing the default artwork.

Go to https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/ and log in with your Apple ID. Click the artwork for your show and then click the “refresh feed” link. It may take up to 24 hours for your iTunes Store listing to update. Keep in mind that current subscribers will get your latest episode as soon as they refresh their subscriptions, regardless of what’s being displayed in the iTunes Store.

Also, if you’re updating artwork, make sure your new file conforms to iTunes artwork spec and has a different filename than your old artwork file.
