itunes:author field not encoding special characters

    Noted earlier that the <itunes:author> is not encoding special characters (such as ampersands) and can cause distribution to Apple Podcasts or Spotify to fail.

    Only found out by validating my feed through the w3 validator that the ampersand in Skids & Giggles is not encoded as &.

    Interestingly enough, it does encode the <title> and other fields.

    Can this be fixed for a future release pls?

    Hi there,

    Yes we’re working on a fix for this now to wrap that field in CDATA tags both in the Channel and the Item areas of the feed. This will be included in the upcoming v2.6.5 version of the plugin.

    This should be resolved with v2.6.5 that we released earlier today. If we can do anything else just let us know.
