• A podcast site I manage has long used Powerpress’s field for the itunes Summary on podcasts posts (Podcast Episode -> Episode Info -> See more settings -> Summary) and I can see in our RSS feed that the <itunes:summary> still contains our summary, yet the apple podcast’s app on iOS devices is now displaying our full podcast post description, including clickable hyper links and some markup (bulleted lists) etc.

Our old posts too, are also now showing the full post. I noticed that itunes:summary is no longer listed here: in their RSS guide: https://help.apple.com/itc/podcasts_connect/#/itcb54353390

I don’t think anything is invalidating our summary tag, but I thought I would check and see if this is now a known thing that it’s no longer used? Is there any other way to stop itunes from using our full podcast post?

Interestingly, our episode listings on the apple podcast website (https://podcasts.apple.com/) is still respecting the summary.

    THANKS
