I’ve been looking for years for something like this

Every few months for the past few years I’d do a search for something like this as I knew eventually someone would come up with something. I’ve already installed this on 23 sites that I manage as it’s on my short list of “must have” plugins for any site.

The author talks as if the main advantage of this plugin is so you don’t make a mistake and mess up your footer causing problems with your site loading, but that’s not it. You can easily test and correct if you change your footer manually but next time you upgrade WordPress all your changes are likely to disappear which is what has been happening to me over the past few years. Being able to set this up once and not having to worry about the constant WordPress upgrades clearing away all my changes is the key feature of this plugin.
