• The visitors on my website are visiting urls that end with my domain name?

I don’t think i can even explain the issue i’m having so i’ll include a link to the screenshot of my google analytics view which shows that the visitors on my website are visiting urls that can’t possible be urls. How can a url on a website e.g website.com/about-us end with website.com/-about-us/website.com

Siteground support said “it appears that the configuration itself is somehow redirecting to those permalinks with the domain name at the end”

https://app.usebubbles.com/767e4891-0303-4469-8eb0-32923063807a here you can see in the screenshot that the most visited page on my website are urls that edn with my domain name. But when i try to visit those urls i’m thrown with this error https://app.usebubbles.com/10cddf62-3737-4a54-a40d-46fd5fee0ed5

Someone on stackoverflow gave this answer for the error message^

” That happens because: 1) there are no such pages on your website and 2) the requested pages have an extension that allows executing them on the server. So the plugin suspects that some bot or hacker tries to find vulnerable/insecure code to exploit it. Anyway, you can ignore that. ”

Can someone explain to me why this is happening and how to fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello kytollp,

Do you remember installing any plugin on the website? Or else maybe something that the Hosting is managing.

Try to disable all the plugin once and switch to some default theme and see if that creates any impact.

    Thanks.

This issue has been there since google analytics started tracking the visitors on my website

Did you try removing that plugin you used for Google Analytics?

    Did that solve the problem?
