• We’re currently moving to FluentCRM after using managed (and pricey) managed email solutions for marketing campaigns. The process has been a little bumpy (did not handle custom/unrecognized fields in a contact CSV import), but everything is imported and ready to go.

It was at this point that I discovered FluentCRM also does automations, which is a huge value add considering individual plugins will usually do this functionality. However, it suffers from some design quirks or deficiencies just like AutomatorWP does which is making it difficult for us to find the same level of functionality that AutomateWoo has.

For example, we want to send an email to the customer when an order status changes to failed, to prompt the customer to try paying again. AutomateWoo allows you to insert the customer payment page hyperlink into a message, however FCRM is lacking this. In another example, we want to follow up with the customer when their order has been sitting in a pending payment status for an extended period of time, and then send another email to the store owner with details of the order. Strangely, FCRM’s team made the conscious design decision that the order data is unavailable if you try to send an email to anyone beyond the customer themself in the same automation, which makes this one no longer viable for us either.

These little hiccups make me wish for an email campaign manager that doesn’t try to do these other things. Hopefully the WPManageNinja group may consider refining the goals and missions of their software to be more specialized and focused.

    Ibrahim,

Thank you so much for the thorough and thoughtful response. Since writing my review, I’ve run into an additional issue that I’m hoping can be resolved as it’s a blocker for us adding to our mailing list contacts. I very much appreciate you forwarding these concerns on to the development team – it’s unfortunate that the support team I was speaking to didn’t have the same response.
