The WP version has just been updated to 6.7j.
The word ‘forum’ in the dashboard menus has been replaced from Japanese to English, and all the Japanese display is now in English, even on forums created with bbpress.

so as a test, if you deactivate the style pack plugin, does it go back to japanese or stay as english?

Yes, disabling the style pack plugin will return to the Japanese display.

thanks, I have looked at the code, and 6.7 does load the text domain (the bit needed for translations) differently, and I think it is this causing the issue.

I will need to take some guesses to see how to fix.

How technical are you? – are you able to ftp a file from the website to your computer and change this – this would help immensely in speeding up the fix, but if you do not have these skills come back and let me know

    Thanks for the reply.
I can make an FTP connection to the data on the server and rewrite the data.
However, I maintain several sites, one of which does not have an FTP connection.

    Your response is much appreciated.
I have just updated and checked.
The Japanese language is displayed correctly.
This plugin is very useful, so I hope you will continue to develop and support this plugin in the future.
