Java script required for buddypress registration

Hi

I have been working on Buddypress and all seems to be fine except we tested the registration yesterday and the system would not allow registration and requested that Javascript is turned on in the browser. However the javascript is turned on.

What is causing this issue and how do I resolve it. we tried in Chrome and Firefox.

Please could someone help ASAP
