Javascript error, creating a grey bar at the top of website

Hey guys, a quick note that since recent updates to our theme (salient) and WP core there was an issue where a grey bar was appearing at the top of all pages on our website. It was a java script error.

Problem is that we can see the tags /* and */ in the frontend in the top bar on the left side on all my pages. I have deactivated the plugin for now until this problem is fixed. My GA code is now added to the header manually.

I can see that other users have alerted you of this and would really appreciate a fix asap so we can use the plugin in the future.
