Javascript not working

  • My inherent javascript no longer works (see link ‘Click here to see previous editions of “Say It Loud!”‘)
    Also, now when I save, WP rewrites some of my code to special characters, ie.,
    “<” becomes “<”
    and regular returns become coded with manual line breaks “<br />”

    What is going on here.

    I no longer see the option to view page code or wysiwyg.

  • It looks like someone has added javascript to the Visual part of the editor. WordPress will try to format this by encoding characters like < and added <br /> tags when you make a new line. If you’re going to add javascript to the content you’ll need to first click on Text mode tab.

    It may be beneficial to remove this section entirely and re-add it via text mode.

    I always had this on text mode, but since the 5.0 upgrade, it has gone away. I’ve searched the entire app and can no longer find a place to select text mode. Do you know where it is?
