Javascript not working in IE9 using Twenty Thirteen theme
-
I have upgraded to WP 3.6.1. I am using the default Twenty Thirteen theme and have no installed plug-ins activated.
I am producing a demo site to introduce students to the features offered by WordPress and am hosting it at https://www.fcet.staffs.ac.uk/jel1/mysite2013/wordpress/.
There appear to be 2 JavaScript issues when using IE9:
First issue:
I have added a small Text widget to the Secondary Widget Area containing some simple JavaScript code that should display a the word “Date” and today’s date on each page. The JavaScript displays the date correctly in Firefox, Chrome and Opera, however, only the word “Date” is displayed in IE9, no actual date.
Second issue:
I have posted a sample video on the Noticeboard page. Although this plays correctly in all browsers, when the user moves the cursor over it in IE9, part of the page is obscured by a panel which disappears after a few seconds. I presume that this is also a JavaScript issue.Any ideas?
