• Hello,

I followed your directions and am finding that my Javascript is still not working/resolving when used in a widget. I made a page where I added my script as a value assigned to CODE1 as the name in the custom fields, whitelisting the script when prompted via Wordfence. I then headed over to my widgets and checked “add widget_content filter” saving that before dragging in a text field and placing %CODE1% in the Widget Logic field, then hitting save. I don’t see anything different in my widget when I refresh the page. The script I’m using is a bit complex and has notations throughout as reminders for what variables can be adjusted. This is to loop a portion of a full video with muted sound etc. The script by itself works fine (tested it in an HTML doc). Any thoughts as to why it wouldn’t be working in my scenario? Am I doing something wrong/missing a step?

    Hi,

Have you tried viewing the same script on a post or page first? I’m wondering if the script is working correctly. So, add it as a custom field as before but now, in the post or page, place %CODE1% in the editor and see if that works. If it doesn’t, it’s probably your script. If it does, let me know.
