    recently (week or so) when I go to my website “besthometutor.com” I get this dialog box with the above title which won’t go away.

    is this a virus?

    would appreciate help on this;

  • That normally means that you’ve got some Java code that’s running on your site (probably as an applet) and it’s trying to run, but your Java platform is out of date or needs to be installed.

    If you have something like that on the site, then update your Java platform – but check that it’s coming from the acutal Sun Java website and not some random URL, just in case.

    If you don’t have anything like that on your site, there’s a chance that you could have been hacked, so do a quick check at https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/ and see if anything shows up.

    I ran the test and got “site infected with malware”;
    Can you please recommend a course of action or is it simply to join this service?
