• Hello,

I have a bit of a frustrating problem here – pages started reloading to top after a full load, so none of my anchor links work, it loads the page section, then the page reloads and goes back to top in like a fraction of a second.

I can’t tell when this started happening.

It does the same with all plugins disabled, so it’s either OneTone or WordPress itself.

I really need this because I have a menu on secondary pages going to the main OneTone sections.

Developer Tools in browser show little information as to what’s going on, either that or I don’t know where to look.

I know it’s a javascript because anchors work with javascript disabled in the browser via extension.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

  • It’s a OneTone characteristic, I’m afraid.

The theme’s menu links work via JavaScript whereas hyperlinks work via HTML. When the homepage loads, the HTML is activated (so the homepage loads at your anchored page section), then the JavaScript is activated (so the page scrolls to the top) – so no, hyperlinks (i.e. anchors) to the homepage will never work (unless you know JS well enough to edit the existing homepage functions) but hyperlinks to other pages will work fine.

You need to know that the one-page scrolling effect need js to work.

Anyone managed to solve this issue? I have the same problem and from the gallery section I want the links go to an anchor further down the page, but only one of them are working.
