Hi. I`m attempting to cut down on unwanted JS in our website and was debating between using jetpack which we are already using for down notifications and image compression or WPRocket. When installing the Boost plugin, upon clicking on it, just a blank screen appears. No options whatsoever. Any ideas and/or fixes?

    Hi @burlacurgeorge,

Thanks for your interest in leveraging Jetpack features.

When facing a blank page after clicking on the Jetpack Boost plugin, it usually points toward a conflict with another plugin or a theme.

First thing I’ve noticed is that the Jetpack plugin on your site is not updated. Please update to the most recent version, 13.1.1. If the issue persists, you might want to try a plugin conflict test and see if the issue persists when only Jetpack Boost is active, then re-enable the other plugins one by one to identify the culprit.

I hope this helps, but if you have other questions, please let me us know.

    Best!

Hi Alin. Thanks for the speedy reply. We cannot upgrade jetpack to the newest version as we are running an older version of wordpress due to template incongruencies that we are working on resolving atm.

That being said, does the latest version of Jetpack work wih 6.1.5 of WordPress? I have checked the plugins and it doesnt seem they are the culprit.

    Hi @burlacurgeorge,

The Jetpack Boost plugin requires your site to be running on a version of WordPress that is compatible with the current version of the plugin. While Jetpack Boost may still work to some extent with older versions of WordPress, functionality can’t be guaranteed, and you may encounter issues like the blank page you’re seeing.

The latest version of Jetpack Boost is designed to be compatible with the most recent versions of WordPress. While it may function with WordPress 6.1.5, if you’re experiencing issues, and since you’ve already ruled out plugin conflicts, this suggests the problem might be related to running an outdated version of WordPress or Jetpack.

Aside from updating WordPress and the Jetpack plugin, you could also check your PHP error logs or enable WordPress debugging to see if any specific errors are causing the blank page. This information could help diagnose the issue further.

If you need assistance with checking error logs or enabling debugging, you might want to consult with a developer or your hosting provider for technical support, as these tasks can be a bit technical in nature.

Keep us posted if you manage to obtain error log details or if there’s more we can help you with here.

    Thank you!
