Jetpack Carousel Missing Images and Thumbnails

    Hello, I’ve just switched to a new theme (Thesis) and decided to start using the Carousel feature in Jetpack. Everything is ALMOST perfect, except someone alerted me that certain thumbnails are missing from most of my galleries (and the full size images themselves are also missing).

    I hadn’t noticed because this is NOT happening when I am logged in, everything seems in place then. After a little digging it appears that the missing images might have one thing in common: html in the description (usually a link crediting the photographer.) Is this a known bug or am I having an issue with the theme or a conflicting plugin?

    Here is another page where every image has HTML in the description, and NONE of them are appearing:

    I checked both pages, and it seems that you’ve managed to solve the issue: the thumbnails appear properly, as well as the full size images.

    Could you let us know what caused the issue? It might help others having the same issue.

    Hi, this thread is a bit old, but I’m having the same issue and didn’t see a solution in other threads. In a nutshell, when hyperlink is added to the description, the thumbnail disappears from the gallery…and when a user clicks on it, they become “stuck” on a black screen large image.

    I’ve tested other html in the description and it only seems to be hyperlinks that cause this. Any ideas?

    Seeing my site won’t make a difference because I’ve taken the links out of the descriptions so it renders correctly.

    Love to find a solution…

    My jetpack carousel images have disappeared on my site & I don’t know what the problem is. Last night WP was down for some reason & I could not connect to my dash board. When I checked today my images were missing as well as signup forms. I have been adding signup forms from AWeber,… don’t know if that had anything to do with it.
