Jetpack Carousel option affects news feed display

    Hi, I run a website for a Charity, Himalayan Children, which has WordPress 4.7.3 installed with the Charitas Lite 1.0.5 theme by WPLook Studio activated.

    Since the recent upgrade to 4.7.3 we have been experiencing issues with the newsfeed (‘Featured Newsletters’ on the homepage) not displaying. It just has a circle which whirls around.

    I have deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one and found it is the Jetpack plugin causing a conflict. Further investigation tracks it down to the Jetpack Carousel option.

    When Carousel is enabled a javascript error occurs and breaks the newsfeed.

    I now have Jetpack Carousel switched off and the site is working and the newsfeed displays as expected.

    Is the above Carousel problem likely to be Jetpack or an installation issue?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you try to update to the most recent version of Jetpack that was released yesterday? We included a fix that should fix this specific issue.

    Hi Jeremy,

    the ‘Featured Newsletters’ on the homepage and also the gallery carousels are now working with Jetpack 4.7.1. installed.
