Jetpack Carousel transition customization

I was able to hide the next and previous images (under the arrows) on the left and right of the screen and for the most part it’s looking how I want it. Now all I need to do is get rid of the images that flash on the left and right during the transition. I’m not seeing it on my laptop or desktop in Safari, Firefox and Chrome, however my client says she is seeing it still on hers (she has cleared the cache and refreshed).

It does definitely appear still on the iPad. Maybe there is a piece of CSS that I’m missing?
