Jetpack Comments – PLEASE!

    I have spent 2 days researching how to make Jetpack Comments GDPR compliant. I can’t believe their attitude on Github where someone asked for this a couple of years ago and they claimed GDPR doesn’t require explicit consent, of course it does!
    I am now stuck between using default WP comments (With your excellent plugin to make it compliant!) or risking using the much better Jetpack Comments (for social logins) but without being GDPR compliant.
    Could you please consider adding support for Jetpack Comments so that your plugin can force that to be compliant too?
    I would be SOOO grateful and no doubt MILLIONS of other site owners would become compliant too, i wonder how many don’t even know that Jetpack Comments risk the site owner being fined under GDPR!?!

  • Hi there! We investigated this when we started development on the plugin way back and ran into Jetpack providing the comments through an iFrame so we can’t actually hook into that. Sorry!
