    This really has me stumped.

I receive contact form notifications without fail if I use the default form (no to= specified).

I need notifications sent to several email addresses. And right now, on one website I cannot get it to send ANY contact form notifications.

    – Yes, it enters the appropriate information into feedback.
    – Yes, I get email notifications when someone comments on a post.

I have another website with an almost identical setup and am having no issues at all. I have the contact form set to send notification to three emails. No problems… ever.

Both sites are hosted on the same server… same account, etc.

    Thanks! I am totally stumped!

    ~Louie

    P.S.
I am using Jetpack Version 2.3 on both sites.
I am using WordPress 3.5.2 on both sites.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I need notifications sent to several email addresses. And right now, on one website I cannot get it to send ANY contact form notifications.

Could you let me know how you entered the multiple email addresses? If you separate each email address with a comma, that should work.

When you enter a single email address in the email notification field, does the form work properly?

    Thanks!

    Hello Jeremy…

Here is exactly how I have it entered:

[contact-form subject='FR WEBSITE - Contact Us Web Form' to='[email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]']

I’ve also tried it with no space after the comma.

I just tried it with only one email address. No email yet (it’s been about five minutes) but sometimes it does seem to take a bit.

The correct info IS being entered under Feedback.

When I enter none, it sends to the General Settings email with no problem.

Thanks for your help. This is the stuff that’s supposed to be easy.

    Update…

Something has got to be “corrupted” somewhere.

It did not send with only one email set.
AND NOW it will not send even with no email set.

    It worked yesterday with none.

I am deactivating plugins as we speak. No change yet… in a few minutes I’ll have nothing but Jetpack and Akismet running.

Like I said… same setup on another blog works just fine.

    ??????????

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

If you add the addresses without any spaces after the comma, it should indeed work. Did you receive the email from your last test?

Could you also let me know your site URL here, so I can have a look?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

Edit: I just saw your last reply. Could you let me know your site URL, so I can check if your Jetpack connection works properly?

    Jeremy…

Yes, I know it should work.

    See my “update” message above.

No emails sent. Not with one email… and now not even with NO email entered.

No need to be anonymous. URL is: https://www.freshrevenues.com/

    Thanks!

    Jeremy…

I thought about the Jetpack connection as well. And, in fact, I disconnected the site from WP yesterday. And re-established the connection.

Update: I have now tried everything I can think of (short of using a different form plugin).

I cannot get it to send me an email no matter how I set it up. I’ve deleted the form. Started from scratch. And tried it with no email and one email… and nothing!

I even used Wp-Optimize to clean up the database. Just a thought.

    No luck at all.

    Hey Jeremy…

After two hours (one from almost three hours ago, I have just received FIVE of my test emails. All of these are going to only one email address — as intended.

I’ll see if maybe the multiple email notifications works.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Why in the world would it take that long to deliver / receive these? They all arrived here within minutes of each other.

    Jeremy…

I have received even more of my test emails from many hours ago now.

But the REAL NEWS is… that I received one from 20 minutes ago that was sent to three email addresses.

I had most all of the plugins de-activated. I am now going to try it with them activated. It appears we’re making some progress.

    And…

It worked (about 20 minutes for delivery) after I re-activated all of the plugins. So the plugins were not an issue.

But now… I changed the email addresses to the “real” ones from my “test” emails… and it’s all stopped again.

Unless I am just in wait mode. Last time I filled out the form was 2.5 hours ago.

    Any ideas?????

Do you have another working email script on your website that you could compare results with? Aside from Jetpack, I mean? I’ve had up to a 12 hour delay on WordPress email simply due to server load sometimes. If you use another form to test with that uses the wp_mail(); function, we could rule out server delay on that function at least.

For what it’s worth, I’m running two websites with the Jetpack contact form enabled, neither of which run any other plugins. One is running WordPress 3.5.1, one running WordPress 3.5.2, and both send to multiple email addresses.

    Hi…

No, I don’t have another mail script I can test.

Where can I get one? I’m not all that knowledgeable about these things.

And… for the record. Still NO emails received from that last test.

It’s been right at 4 hours now.

    ???

Try Contact Form 7, I’m pretty sure they use wp_mail(); . As this is a production site, you could install the plugin, then set the form up on a private page so you can test it in peace without customers stumbling across it…

Alternately, I use a variation on the form in this tutorial for my testing:

    https://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/creative-coding/creating-a-simple-contact-form-for-simple-needs/

Just having a very basic form on hand to test things can be very helpful sometimes.

    Thread Starter TopSpots

    (@topspots)

    OK…

I can do that. I’ll need to de-activate the form function in Jetpack to test Contact Form 7… right?

To avoid any conflicts? Or no?

    Thanks for your help!

….. Not necessarily. Both plugins are fairly well written, and there shouldn’t be any conflicts, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. If you don’t absolutely have to have JetPack, I’d deactivate it for the 5 or 10 minutes you’ll need to test the other form.

And you’re welcome! I know how frustrating contact forms can be. ??

    Thread Starter TopSpots

    (@topspots)

    I just tried it.

Instantaneous delivery. Now, I set it up for one email and two cc: emails. I only received one actual email… but all of the three email addresses are set through the same gmail account. So… does that make sense???

But it came through right away. No issues.

    What does this tell us?

    P.S. – I did not de-activate Jetpack.
