    Jetpack Mechanic ??

If the feedbacks are correctly recorded in the Feedbacks section of your dashboard, the problem might be coming from your server’s email configuration.

Do you receive any emails when a new user registers on your site, or when somebody leaves a comment?

Hi Jeremy, thanks for getting back to me. I’ve tried two separate emails (my go daddy email and my gmail address) and neither works. I don’t think it’s the server’s email configuration cause i was receiving emails from feedback a couple of weeks ago and haven’t changed anything.

Could you try leaving a test comment on your site, and let me know if you receive an email notification about it?

If that doesn’t work, could you post your site URL so I can have a look?

    I have the same problem.
I normaly receive mail when a new user is registered or test mail so send mail work.
But with Jetpack Contact Form i cannot receive mail.

i simply have generated this code
    [contact-form][contact-field label='Nome' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='Sito web' type='url'/][contact-field label='Commento' type='textarea' required='1'/][/contact-form]

but as you can see here (is italian but form is simple)
    https://www.telefoniablog.net/contattaci/
the page is reloaded with no error.
How can i help you to solve this problem?

I checked your site, and the forum you’ve added to that page was generated by another Contact Form plugin, cForms.

If you still experience issues with Jetpack Contact forms on another page, could you check if the emails appear under the Feedbacks menu in your dashboard?

    hi

sorry but i must change it with a working form.
With this form i can set parameters for mail and works.

it’s like jetpack use mail funciont and not wp_mail function for send mail, for my host only second function work

@acquariusoft Jetpack does use wp_mail, so the problem might have another cause.

Do you see the emails under the Feedbacks menu in your dashboard?

I found that when I have 2 fields in my form, that when a form is submitted the email is sent to me and also appears in my feedbacks.
    Example:
    [contact-form subject='some subject'][contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][/contact-form]

However, when I have 1 field in my form, the form is NOT emailed, but only appears in my feedbacks.
    Example:
    [contact-form subject='some subject'][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][/contact-form]

I need to have a form with only the email address field, and have it sent via email. How can I do that? Can you tell me what the limitation is (jetpack, my mail host, etc.)?

I tested both forms, and received email notifications for both.

Could you check your Spam / Junk folder? The emails might be filtered out by your email provider, as they do not contain much text.

Jeremy – I checked my Spam / Junk folder and did not find any messages.
I greatly appreciate your detailed attempt to reproduce the problem I described. I am using JetPack version 2.1.1 and WordPress 3.5.

I have tried making 1 of the fields optional and found that if I submit with only 1 field completed the email is not sent, but if 2 fields are completed, the email is sent.

I see from your post that you have already tried using a single field and it works for you, so it’s very odd that it does not work for me. Do you have any suggestions for me or other things I can do to troubleshoot this?

    Thanks.

I made a few more tests with 1 and 2 fields, required or optional, but I always receive the emails. I also use WP 3.5 and the latest version of Jetpack.

Could you try to change the email notification settings in the form, and send the emails to another email address to make sure the problem is not linked to your current email provider?
If possible, try to choose a different email provider (hotmail instead of gmail, for example).

Let me know how it goes!

    Jeremy,

Thanks again for your continued help.

I did try that before posting to this forum, and did it again this morning after seeing your response and suggestion. The results are the same, no email is received when only 1 field is sent. If 2 fields are sent, then email is received. The behavior I described is 100% reproducible.

I tried it originally with my own domain email, and the alternate email provider I used for comparison is Hotmail.

For example, I used the following, which resulted in no email being received (I used my email address of course intead of “myname”).:
    [contact-form to='[email protected]'][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][/contact-form]

Do you have any other suggestions, debugging steps, or other information?

Hm. That’s weird, and I am not sure why I can’t reproduce that issue on any of my test sites.

Do you have any other active plugins on that site? If so, could you try to deactivate them, one at a time, and see if one of them conflicts with jetpack?

Could you also post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

    Jeremy,

    Thanks for your continued efforts.

I disabled the few other plugins and the problem persists and remains the same, so I don’t believe there is any conflict with other plugins.

I sent you the site URL privately as you offered, and thanks for offering that option.

If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I appreciate your efforts and the efforts of those that have made this software available.

Hi I am finding a similar issue.

    wp vers. 3.4.2.
    jetpack vers. 2.1.1.

I have a contact form that successfully sends emails to gmail and my own websites domain email but to the required email address, nothing.

I have all tested emails in the feedback dashboard in the admin.

Specifically though the site is hosted on my server however the domain is being forwarded elsewhere via its a record.

Could this be linked or is there a way around this?

I would appreciate your help on this.

    Stuart
