Jetpack / Automattic Hello:

I disconnected Jetpack (was working OK) – and now cannot re-connect.

I deleted and re-installed Jetpack – still will not connect.

My SSL certificate is OK – tested.

Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 1000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Could not validate security token

have tried, but did not help:

define( ‘JETPACK_SIGNATURE__HTTPS_PORT’, 80 );
or
$_SERVER[‘SERVER_PORT’] = 443;

/xmlrpc.php: XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

As mentioned, was working OK in the past, until I decided to disconnect and re-connect.

I have *deleted and re-installed* the Jetpack plugin – still will not connect

I have de-activated all other plugins

I wasn’t able to find a link which said “click here to contact jetpack support” to fill in my info and contact support.

Could you click on the Advanced Debug results link at the bottom of the page, copy all these results, and send them to us via this contact form so we can take a closer look at the problem on your site?

@gsh2000 Considering you tried deactivating all other plugins, and reinstalling Jetpack it’s probably going to be either something with the SSL or php.ini configuration. Are you using a CDN? I was having the same trouble with curl error 28 once I got passed the other errors due to conflicting plugins (like WP All Export and iThemes security). It may be php.ini config – I listed out the changes I made to it and eventually got it (it was Host Gator by the way). https://www.gordowebdesign.com/wordpress-troubleshooting-jetpack-failed-connection-curl-error-28-operation-timed-out-after-1000-milliseconds-with-0-bytes-received-solved/ maybe they will help you.

But i can’t, because It’s turn me wrong.

What is problem?

As Jeremy Herve (@jeherve) said, I had a plugin blocking JetPack access. In my case was Advanced Access Manager. I temporary disabled it and JetPack works fine.
