• Suddenly within the last 3-4 weeks, I’m finding I can’t use the Elementor page builder if I have Jetpack enabled. Every time I design or edit a page or post, I get the “white screen of death” and Elementor will not load. However, if I deactivate Jetpack, it works fine. I did go through my plugins and disabled each one individually until I narrowed down the problem. I increased my memory to 256, which had no effect whatsoever.

Is there something else I should be doing to have it all running at the same time?

  • I had this same issue w/ Jetpack on a few of my sites. For me it was found that the host uses mod_security and the amount of ajax script executions was exceeding their tolerances. Both Jetpack and Elementor rely on admin-ajax.php which is what the host monitors aggressively as it is a common attack target for hacker bots.

They provided a setting in the cpanel for me to temporarily disable mod_security while I work on the website. This was only effecting me while editing so I accepted the solution but I suppose others may need to upgrade the hosting plan to allow for more resources to be used.
