    Hi,

I noticed the error 6 to 7 hours ago. I have checked for plugin conflict and theme issues. It isn’t that. Checked debug tool, XML RPC validation service and done the mydomain.com/xmlarpc. Everything seems fine. Even the silte health tool reports no errors.

Interestingly, it is not persistent. Sometimes it happens, other times everything works fine.

When I checked the site error log, it says fatal PHP Error.

What could be the solution to this problem?

That’s odd indeed. This may not be related, but I should note that your site seems to be a bit slow at the moment; it was stuck on this loading screen for about a minute:

When running tests trying to connect to your site via WordPress.com, I experienced some timeouts for 2 of my tests out of 3, so the overall issue may be that your site is not responding quick enough at times.

Have you experienced the same type of slowness on your site lately?

When I checked the site error log, it says fatal PHP Error.

Could you share the exact error here? It may tell us more about what’s causing the problems on your site.

Those are the errors, the two errors repeating over and over.

    Hey @doywil,

Thanks for those specifics. It looks like this is a recently discovered issue with the recent Jetpack update. I’ve logged your report on an existing issue in the Jetpack GitHub repo:

    Hi @jenhooks,
Thank you, I thought it is because the site is slow. Hopefully this will be fixed in the updates.

    Hi @doywil

As mentioned on the Github issue, the error should not actually have any effect on your site, so this may be unrelated to the Jetpack connection issue, which is actually more likely due to the load speed issue that Jeremy mentioned earlier.

You can use a tool like https://gtmetrix.com/ to get a speed report and suggestions for improving the loading speed. Your host may also be able to help with that.

Please let us know if the issue persists once you’ve taken some measures to improve the site’s performance.

    Hi,

Technology and coding is beyond my grasp.

The last two days, I was googling how to speed up website. Implemented some stuff, like CDN, changed caching plugin and stuff. Deleted some pluguns I no longer use or need. There is a bit of improvement. None of them help because my server is slow.

Here is a screenshot of the error.

    Hi @doywil

At this point, you may want to consider contacting your host to either get you moved to an upgraded server, or changing hosts altogether. No matter how much you optimize your site, if your server is underpowered, there are going to be issues.

    (@doywil)

I have planned to upgrade server. The hosting company will do the migration. I will update the thread after the move.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out. Hope this issue will be gone once server is upgraded. As I’m not able to update settings, they’re not getting saved.

    Thank you.

I have upgraded my hosting plan to add more resources and the site is much faster. But I’m still not able to update settings because the changes are not getting saved.

It is not caused by the fatal PHP error.
